Dr Baum is a graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed training in internal medicine, cardiology, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology. He is a founding physician/scientist member of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT), president of the American Society of Preventive Cardiology (ASPC), and sits on the American Heart Association Council on Epidemiology and Prevention. In 2013 he was awarded Cleveland Heart Lab's Heart Award for lifelong dedication to preventive medicine. Dr Baum is a clinical affiliate professor of medicine at Florida Atlantic University Medical School and has a practice in Boca Raton that is devoted solely to clinical lipidology.

Dr Budoff has devoted much of his time over the past 25 years to advancing procedures that can help doctors identify cardiac patients early and place them on a therapeutic path to prevent heart attacks. Dr Budoff works on at least 20 active medical research trials at any given time and is a frequent lecturer on cardiology topics at symposia, congresses, and annual conferences globally. He has authored or coauthored over 800 research papers, seven books, and 45 book chapters.

Dr Shubrook is a board-certified family physician and fellowship-trained diabetologist. Dr Taub oversees the Step Family Foundation Cardiovascular Rehabilitation and Wellness Center at UC San Diego Health, which provides a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program for patients with established heart disease. A mission of the Center is to actively engage patients and the community in prevention of cardiovascular disease. The Center is conducting research on biomarkers, other diagnostics, and wearable/mobile technologies that can improve patient outcomes. Dr Taub is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. She is regularly selected by her peers as a top physician in San Diego Magazine's Physicians of Exceptional Excellence annual survey.
